Sunrise Breakthrough

We like all of our pens, but we REALLY like this one! This pen is made of slices of contrasting red and blues separated by aluminum that has been polished to a high shine. The method to make this type of pen is called “segmenting” - precision slices of tiny pieces are arranged on the pen barrel to get this effect. The blue and red color are two-toned, meaning they reflect back a different color depending on how the light catches them. The red reflects back a touch of gold, and the blue reflects back a bit of silver. A polished gunmetal plating complements the aluminum bands nicely. A satisfying click mechanism and retro detailing on the clip top off this beauty. This is a medium weight, medium length pen.

Each pen is handmade one at a time in our shop. All pens can be refilled with widely available ink refills. Regardless of material, each pen goes through a multi-stage sanding and polishing process to achieve maximum shine.
